Biography

Zhang Baolin, Chief Physician, Department of Plastic, Aesthetic and Burn Surgery, First Hospital of Shanxi Medical University.

He specializes in the treatment of furuncles, carbuncles, erysipelas, pigmented nevi, umbilical hernia, and other conditions. In 2000, he was selected for the Cross-Century Talent Program and went to Australia for six months of study in the same year. He has consistently participated in national and provincial professional academic conferences and has been involved in clinical, teaching, and research work at the hospital and medical university. He has published more than 30 professional articles in this field. He served as editor-in-chief of "Modern Diagnosis and Treatment of Plastic Surgery Diseases" and "Modern Diagnosis and Treatment of Aesthetic Surgery Diseases" in the "Modern Medical Diagnosis and Treatment Series," as well as "One Hundred Diseases and One Hundred Prescriptions" and "Surgical Operating Procedures." He led the department in successfully completing many highly difficult procedures in the specialty, including serial treatment of extremely severe burns and microskin grafting, application of skin and soft tissue expanders, correction of orbital hypertelorism, and correction of various congenital and acquired deformities of the human body. He has unique expertise in various plastic and aesthetic surgery procedures, has carried out psychological treatment for plastic and aesthetic surgery, and is proficient in various aesthetic surgery procedures, such as breast augmentation and reduction, aesthetic plastic surgery of the head and facial features, and liposuction or surgical fat removal for weight reduction. Over the past two years, in research work, he has received two grants from the Shanxi Provincial Education Commission and two hospital funds; two research projects from the Provincial Education Commission won the Third Prize of the Shanxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award. He has repeatedly received titles including Advanced Individual in Civilized Medical Practice, Outstanding Communist Party Member, Outstanding Teacher of Shanxi Medical University, Advanced Individual in the "Three Educations" Program, and Outstanding Teacher of the Provincial Education Commission.

He serves as Director of the General Surgery Teaching and Research Office of Shanxi Medical University; National Committee Member of the Plastic Surgery Branch of the Chinese Medical Association; Member of the Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology Professional Committee of the Chinese Medical Association; Chairman of the Plastic Surgery and Burn Society of the Shanxi Medical Association; President of the Plastic and Aesthetic Surgery Society of the Shanxi Medical Doctor Association; Vice Chairman of the Medical Aesthetics and Cosmetology Professional Committee of the Shanxi Medical Association; and Academic Leader of Plastic, Aesthetic and Burn Surgery in Shanxi Province. He serves as a Standing Editorial Board Member of the "Chinese Journal of Aesthetic Medicine" and as an Editorial Board Member of the "Chinese Journal of Dermatology," the "Journal of Practical Medical Techniques," the "Chinese Journal of Biological Cosmetology," and other journals.
